What does it mean if a user sees the "There is currently nothing to show you." message

Sometimes when a user logs into Paperless Payments they will see the following message:

For ADs


They will see this message if:

  1. They are not listed as an AD on any current projects
  2. They are listed as the wrong user type - either when their account was created or against the project  E.g. They are added as "Accounting" but then attached to a project as an "AD"

For Accountant users


They will see this message if:

  1. They are not listed as an Accountant on any current projects
  2. They are listed on a current project but the AD has not yet sent any work days to them
  3. They are listed as the wrong user type - either when their account was created or against the project  E.g. They are added as an "AD" but then attached to a project as an "Accounting"

Troubleshooting

If the user should see a project then:

  • Always confirm what email address they are using to log in with (it may not be the one you think they are)
  • Check on Paperless Payments to make sure they are listed as the right type of user (if they aren't contact Bright Machine to change their user type)
  • Check on Paperless Payments to make sure they are attached to the right project
If it's still unclear then contact Bright Machine support, with info about the email address they are logging in with, along with info about which project they should be able to see.
